My Inner Miley Cyrus..."We Cant Stop!"

Not that you would find me raiding Miley Cyrus's closet anytime soon, but I can't help but love the edgy look she's rocking these days.  Here is an outfit that is not too extreme yet not too understated. Yes, the paradox of fashion!
What do you think?

Fall Transitions

chambray: H&M/skirt: Urban Behavior/bag and sunglasses: H&M/ sandals: ALDO
So I'm thinking fall is officially here; At least in Toronto.  For the past week I've been finding myself having to turn down or turn off the A/C.  I'm also craving fall transition pieces in my wardrobe; the basics: knit leggings, equestrian boots, and sweaters.  For fashion purposes, fall is one of my favourite seasons.  I love layering and mixing and matching prints with neutral colours.  This look is somewhat summer transitioning to fall.  My bright coloured Aztec skirt paired with a denim chambray, finishing the look with my tan bag from H&M.  Fall wishlist coming soon!

Happy Monday!

White Noise...

cami & sunglasses: Urban Outfitters/ jeans: Urban behavior
Do you ever have a certain piece in your closet that you never ever seem to wear.  You see it there you know it exists, in fact you love it, but rarely do you reach for it when deciding on an outfit; Im quite guilty of this crime.  This lace camisole from, Urban Outfitters is just the right kinda delicate I look for when I'm in the mood to wear something simple, girlie and understated. Wearing white jeans makes me feel fresh and crisp.

Hightlight This...

There's been a sudden surge in last minute bright hues hitting the stores and the blog-sphere before the big "F" known as fall arrives.  I'm loving this highlighter yellow trend because it's so in your face and hard not to notice.  Proceed with caution with a hue like this; try simple shades of black and white when creating a look. One neon piece at a time before you walk out the door looking like a highlighter pen, ready to "emphasize" yourself.  Enjoy while it last  friends, because fall colours are just around the corner.
 Happy neon shopping!.

Grey Days...

skirt: Costa Blanca/ shirt: H&M/ necklace: Aldo
Today is a grey day for me.  The sky is grey and rainy; work stress, a 5 year old and his tantrums and a mountain on my mind. Just one of those days.

Pretty Things...

Because every girl wants to wear a diamond tiara at some point in her life!
Lockets are so pretty; especially when they're engraved with a sweet message.
A favourite story of mine as a child.
The tiara and this bed work together well...everything princess.
Yes, I dreamed of being a ballerina as a little girl.
Couture gowns, embellished with chiffon and lace.  Enough said.
Everyone close to me knows that Im all 100% girl. I love anything that is  pretty, pink and delicate.  Lace and satin are dear friends of mine not to mention things that sparkle and shine.  Ooooo that rhymed! lol. Hope you enjoy!  :)

Tribal Tales

maxi skirt and necklace: H&M/ top: Forever21
Give me anything called a long maxi skirt and you know I'll wear it.  This has been one of my favourite's in my closet this summer. This  Bo-ho tribal print skirt from H&M is just what I need to feel pretty, comfortable and at ease.
What have been your go-to summer favourites??

Born To Be Free...

tank: Supre.com.au/ denim shorts: Aeropastale/shoes: Jeffery Campbell Litas/ sunnies, hat & purse: H&M
So this is what I would call my take on a rocker chic look. Ya I know it's not my everyday go to look, but if one day I was ever given the  awesome opportunity to attend Coachella, I would probably look like this.  I purchased the "born to be free" tank, last summer online at Supre.com.au, a  popular clothing store in Australia.  Thinking Australian medium is the same as Canadian sized medium it was a bit big and loose on me but it adjusted fine after a few washes.  I like to play dress up, that's the beauty of fashion but there would be a definite place and time for this particular look. So my question to you lovelies is,

What type of look (s) would you try that you usually wouldn't wear?

Thank you Friday...

knit tank: H&M/ white jeans: Urban Behavior
Thank you Friday for...
  1. Allowing me to catch a 2 hour nap after dropping Cole off at daycare this morning.  It's nice having Fridays off from work just in case I didn't have a good night sleep.
  2. Being able to watch old music vids circa 1998-2000 on Youtube. When music videos were worth watching.  Ahhhh yess, the old Nsync, Britney Spears and BSB days. Love it!
  3. Warm sunny weather
  4. Date night with the boyfriend
  5. For just being Friday

Parisian Print

top & shorts: Sirens/ shoes: J.C Litas
Humpty hump day!  Loving this parisian inspired top from Sirens.  It was an instant connection when I saw the colours in the top and the wheels in my brain starting turning, thinking of all the diffrent ways I could incorporate it in my wardrobe.  Take a good look because you will be seeing a lot from this shirt in the future!

On another note, being rear ended today in rush hour traffic is not fun!  A minor scratch on the car and a shock to my nerves.  Could have been worse right?

p.s: I think the real fun of blogging comes from hearing what you all have to say about the posts I do.  You're the best!

Yellow makes me smile

yellow pants: Urban Behavior/ tank & sandals: Forever 21/sunnies: Urban Outfitters
Lord have mercy it's been so long since I've done an OOTD post.   It felt so nice to get re-acquainted with the ol Nikon and be out in the sun; especially in these pastel yellow pants, I recently got from Urban Behavior.  I gave in to the coloured pant/denim trend that has been sweeping over the fashion blogging universe since spring.  I loved seeing the trend on others but I was insecure that I was too old to pull them off. I was so wrong! I need to remember as long as I'm 28, I can pull off anything...almost. lol.  This shade of yellow is an instant spirit lifter and very comfy.  I've been able to change up the look of them by pairing them with a loose fitting  blouse or blazer for work and an everyday look seen here.

Pink Wednesday...

Tank top:  H&M/ shorts and sandals: Forever21/ sunnies: Urban Outfitters
So I'm feeling pretty horrible and let down today for neglecting my blog for this long! ALOT has happened in the past couple weeks that has enabled me from keeping active on LalaGerogia and commenting on some of your own posts!  Last week was hectic as I went on two interviews for an internship postion.  As luck may have it,   I finally landed one!  A Public Relations internship with a really great company that I'll tell you more about tomorrow! As for today's outfit and what better way to cheer me up in the middle of the week is my neon pink tank top from H&M
The colour is reminiscent of my pink Zara pullover, seen here.  Not to sound too Dr. Seuss but everything feels better in pink, don't you think?  LOL.

Snow White & The Huntsman Inspiration

SW
Last weekend Matt took me out to watch Snow White and Huntsman which is my Friday inspiration.  Products such as  a black lace Chanel blouse, red lipstick from YSL and Nina Ricci perfume reminded me of the Gothic princess aesthetic that the movie exuded. Oh! and the Crown earrings fit for any queen.  Including ourselves!! If you haven't checked the movie out, I definitely recommended it if you`re into fantasy type movies like I am.
